Become a Direct Support Professional
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at AmeriBest, you’ll provide non-medical, in-home support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Allentown, Pittsburgh, and surrounding Pennsylvania communities.
Through Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, develop daily living skills, and stay connected to their communities. At AmeriBest, we give you the training, tools, and team support to do that work with confidence.
As a DSP at AmeriBest, you’ll assist with:
- Companion Services — supporting individuals in home and community daily life
- Homemaker Services — helping with cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Community Participation Support — connecting individuals to local activities and resources
- Respite Care — providing temporary support for families in planned or emergency situations
- In-Home & Community Habilitation — helping individuals gain and maintain skills for greater independence
No previous experience is required — we provide specialized onboarding training and ongoing education to set you up for success from day one.

ODP Care
AmeriBest is one of Pennsylvania’s trusted providers of ODP-funded services, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Allentown, Pittsburgh, and surrounding communities.
Through Pennsylvania’s Office of Developmental Programs, eligible individuals can access non-medical in-home support tailored to their Individual Support Plan. Our DSPs deliver that support with consistency, compassion, and genuine care for every person they work with.
